The NCAA Tournament selects 64 teams every year. Conference champions earn 31 automatic bids; the remaining 33 spots go to at-large selections — and that's where the "bubble" lives. Teams ranked roughly 30 through 50 nationally are right at the cut line, and where they finish in conference play and how their conference tournament breaks decides whether they're in or out.
Use the Power Index table to filter by national rank. Teams in the 25-50 range are the most realistic bubble candidates; teams ranked 50-75 typically need a conference tournament run or a hot final two weekends to crack the field. The current week's D1Baseball Top 25 poll is reflected as well — the major polls and the committee historically agree about 90% on the at-large picks.
Our proprietary Dugout Power Index alongside the weekly D1Baseball Poll. Consensus picks — teams ranked top-10 in both — surface at the top so you can see where the polls agree and where they don't.
